Please join us in congratulating the newest at Large Members of the MAMFT Board:

    Jessica Enneking, LMFT
    Calvin Hauer, LMFT
    Elizabeth Shapiro Johnson, LMFT
    Kate Croteau, MA

They will be joining us in 2024 and we're excited for the ideas, support, and energy they will add to the board going forward!

Thank you to everyone  who participated in the election cycle, whether you expressed interest, helped with interviews, or voted - we feel fortunate to have your engagement in this corner of our profession! If you have questions or are interested in learning more about this process, reach out anytime to elections@mamft.net

Read below to learn more about our At Large Board Members:

    Jessica Enneking, LMFT

I am the Assistant Director of Adult and Transition-age Mental Health at Fraser. I have been connected to MAMFT in some way for several years and am currently a Clinical member. I specialize in program oversight for clients with Intellectual/Developmental Disability and co-occurring mental health needs. I’ve given several presentations on this topic internally at Fraser and externally with community partners. I’ve been a part of collaboratives across the state to ensure program compliance and equity across populations.

I’d like to become more involved in and give back to Minnesota’s MFT community. I have spent several years on parent/teacher boards at local schools. In my current role I have worked to reduce barriers to accessing mental health care and to minimize the impact of mental health symptoms in our most vulnerable community members. I look forward to serving the MAMFT board and Minnesota’s MFT community.

    Calvin Hauer, LMFT

I am a private practice clinician currently working in South Minneapolis. I have been an on and off clinical member of MAMFT since 2018. I am a sex positive therapist, part-time professor, and full-time nerd.

As I continue to engage in my roles as both a therapist and educator, I am noticing the challenges in building a cohesive community among the many roles and generations of Marriage and Family Therapists. My goal in joining the board is to assist in bridging between training, new, and long established MFTs in the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota. I believe I bring a passion and growth mindset to collaborate with a growth-oriented board that I believe will usher in great change within our communities. My background is in working with stigmatized subjects and small business. This background has challenged me to better: reflect, adapt, and join in on needs greater than my own.

    Elizabeth Shapiro Johnson, LMFT

I currently own a solo practice called Johnson Therapy Services. Previous to owning my practice, I worked for 7 years at a clinic called Jewish Family Service in St. Paul and before this, spent time as a clinician in private practice focused  on high-conflict co-parents and their children. I am trained in  Developmental and Relational Trauma Therapy, certified in Mindfulness and Psychotherapy from the Harvard School of Medicine, trained in EMDR and Acceleration Resolution Therapy and I am currently enrolled in a two year training at the Jungian Institute in Chicago.

I am interested in serving on the MAMFT board because I have a lot of respect for the work MAMFT does and want to help the MAMFT organization grow.   I believe one way of building strength is through collaboration and innovation, both of which are strengths of mine. My experience includes many years on the MInnesota Women and Psychology Board where I chaired the 40th anniversary gala and developed various community programs. I have also served on other  boards in the community over the past 20 plus years, developing membership, strategic plans and creative programming.

    Kate Croteau, MA

My name is Katelyn Croteau and I currently practice as a pre-licensed clinician (full licensure anticipated December 2023) at Pride Counseling Services, located in Mankato, Minnesota. I joined MAMFT after being encouraged to get involved by Tessa Gittleman, LMFT. I enjoy working with LGBTQ+ folx, grief and loss, neurodiversity, and I have a big passion for training service canines.

As an out-state clinician, I understand the unique challenges we may face within our neighborhoods, and I would like to serve as a board member with MAMFT in an effort to help elevate our sense of support and community among all Minnesota MFTs. I hope to bring a sense of vibrant creativity, warm humor, and quiet tenacity to the board.
