Advocacy Update
We are still working with Hylden Advocacy and Law Firm on pay parity for insurance reimbursements for family therapy. We are more connected to the efforts of the Mental Health Legislative Network as well and they are in support of our efforts too.
We plan to have a bill introduced in the next legislative session (February 2024) in order to further our advocacy efforts and we seem to have solid bipartisan support for this.
Earlier this year we also produced a document to better inform the people undertaking the rate study at DHS about the issue of reimbursement parity. You can see this document here.
Please keep talking to your representatives about this issue! Awareness of the issue and how it impacts their constituents is crucial!
