Live Stream: Friday, August 18th, 12:00-3:15 p.m.

3 Cultural Competency CEUs

*This webinar has 3 Cultural Competency CEUS approved by the Board of Marriage and Family Therapy.

Presenter's Bio: Lucreshia Grant is a  graduate of UW Stout's Marriage and Family therapy Program. Since graduating she has been working as a couples therapist in St. Louis Park. Lucreshia has been working in racial justice since 2008 in a variety of capacities. While at Augsburg University she ran their interracial/ interfaith dialogues. As a 2013 CoreAlign fellow she studied Eugenics and did many talking circles and racial healing sessions. Lucreshia is passionate about transforming therapy spaces into antiracist, body centered spaces of healing. At the Relationship Therapy Center she has coordinated their antiracist efforts for the past 3 years. She identifies as pro Black and is hungry for liberation.

Workshop Description: This workshop will be interactive and engaging. The purpose of this workshop is to further deepen your work as antiracist, especially when it comes to therapy and the work you do with clients. We will talk about different models of therapy and how they can be bridged to have an antiracist lens. Storytelling is a part of the fabric of the workshop. Participants will be encouraged to share their experiences and expertise.

Workshop Objectives:

1. Further therapist's awareness of racist automatic responses.

2. Gather new ideas about how to show up in an anti-racist or non-racist way in the therapy space.

3. Make a plan for more study and understanding of anti-racist practice, group development, newsletter add-ons and day to day efforts.
