Description

This presentation explores how systemic and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) principles can be culturally adapted for South Asian couples and families. Using clinical examples from Bangladesh, the session highlights cultural dynamics, intervention modifications, and therapist attunement strategies that support effective and culturally responsive relational therapy.

Approval

All CE activities offered by Minnesota Association of Marriage and Family is approved by the Minnesota Board of Social Work as an approved CE Provider (approval valid through July 25, 2026).

The Minnesota Board of Social Work does not pre-approve independent learning activities and does not expire. Licensees are responsible for determining whether this activity meets the Board’s CE requirements.

Providers in other mental health licenses, as well as those working outside of Minnesota, can submit CEU certificates to their corresponding boards for independent approval.

The following boards do not require pre-approved CEUs or approved CE provider approval. CEUs should be approved upon independent submission to your board:

ND Board of Social Work
