Help grow and shape the profession by becoming a board member!

We are busy advocating for our field (hello, pay parity!), developing inclusive and accessible branding for our profession, and creating connection and community amongst providers in this often isolated work.

Why become a board member? How does it benefit you to volunteer your time and energy for this?

Here are just a few reasons:

1. This is an avenue and outlet for voicing your pride and frustrations within our field, helping increase accessibility to all clients, and bringing new, amazing therapists into the profession, thus protecting it as a long term field of practice.

2. You are instantly connected to and in community with other providers throughout the state, broadening your network and increasing professional connections.

3. Being a board member can be a resume builder, give you an opportunity to use and hone different skills, and be a way to diversify your practice, thus combating burnout.

MAMFT is enriched by the diversity of its membership and strives to maintain a Board of Directors that is representative of its membership and the wide range of contexts in which MFTs work throughout the state. The Board works not only to enhance the professional life of its members, but also to ensure that Marriage and Family Therapy continues to be a viable profession in Minnesota.
