This 14-hour, two-part course will provide structure and clarity to the overwhelming task of preparing for the national licensing exam. Organized around the nationally distributed exam study guide, the instructor will provide an overview of the exam, discuss study techniques and test-taking strategies, and lead a collaborative review of the primary theories in application to the same family vignette. After discussing the remaining knowledge domains measured on the exam, the instructor (Lucas Volini, PhD, LMFT) will walk the group through a practice test while deconstructing each correct or incorrect answer provided per question.
All participants receive a copy of the nationally distributed Independent Study Guide included in their registration fee. A $60 value!
Dr. Volini is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist currently serving as the Clinical Director of the M.S. in MFT Program at Saint Cloud State University. Dr. Volini is the author of a study guide geared toward preparing professionals to pass the national licensing exam in marital and family therapy. On a part-time basis, Dr. Volini is the clinical director at Being while Becoming, a private practice group in Waconia, MN where he sees clients and provides clinical supervision to both practicum students and pre-licensed professionals.
