Call for Presenters for the 2019 MAMFT Greater MN Conference:

Breaking Trauma’s Silence: Our Country’s Awakening to Sexual Health

 The 2019 Greater MN Conference will take place on May 3rd in Moorhead, MN.  We are currently accepting applications for workshops.  The deadline to submit an application is December 15, 2018.  Click here for the application.

In the midst of the #MeToo movement, this conference will focus on conversation around sexual health, boundaries, trauma work and resiliency.





MAMFT is looking for YOU to share your knowledge!

Below are some workshop topic ideas:

  • Sexual healing after trauma
  • Specific therapy models and their approach to addressing sexual trauma
  • The effects of past sexual trauma on partner intimacy
  • Talking about sexuality with vulnerable adults
  • Talking about sexuality with teenagers
  • Is pleasure necessary in sexual relationships?
  • Creating healthy boundaries after trauma
  • Counseling teen couples
  • Roommate status: Where do we go from here?
  • What’s the relationship between communication and intimacy?
  • Sex in the aging population
  • When sex hurts
  • Sexual health panel

Proposals are due December 15, 2018. Presenters will be notified regarding acceptance by January 5th, 2019. Applications must be submitted online here. *Please note up to two presenters will receive complimentary admission to the conference. Each presentation can request the following items: power point projector, screen, microphone, and a whiteboard or a flip chart. All workshop presentations will take place on Friday, May 3rd between 8:30 and 4:30.
