A vital source of relational therapy within the community.

A Refined Approach to Supervising the Emerging MFT: Integrating Theory, Navigating the National Exam, and Fostering a Theory of Change

Training Overview

This training is tailored specifically to the supervisor of MFT practicum students and pre-licensed graduates looking to expand their knowledge and effectiveness in the craft of clinical supervision. As years of post-licensure practice refines our subjective approach to therapy and theory of change, it may also leave us out of touch with the many theories of family therapy discussed in graduate school and emerging in the literature. Remaining knowledgable on the theories that span our profession expands our ability to nurture our supervisee’s therapeutic development while also preparing them to effectively navigate the national exam.

Based off of the nationally distributed study guide authored by the presenter, this training provides an up-to-date overview of the national licensing exam, a crash course on the theories that span our profession, and discussion on fostering our supervisee’s subjective theory of change.

Registration includes your personal copy of The National Licensing Exam for Marriage and Family Therapy: An Independent Study Guide ($60 value) to be kept as a reference for your current and future supervisees! Earn 8 LMFT CEU’s (pending board approval) while engaging with your colleagues in a collaborative application of theory and discussion on fostering our supervisee’s theory of change to strengthen our skillset in training the next generation of MFTs!
