Workshop Description: This presentation will give the attendee and overview of DBT interventions for individuals with PTSD and Dissociative Identity Disorder.  It will include a significant amount of content about how to use Prolonged Exposure with these clients and act as a precouser to future opportunities to learn how to apply DBT-PE in your practice.

Workshop Objectives:

Understanding of PTSD in BPD individuals

How to implement DBT skills in management of PTSD symptoms both inside and outside of sessions

Knowledge of the implementation of DBT-PE in a therapeutic setting

Presenter Bio:

Michael Miller, PsyD, LP is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the U of M. He has 25 years of experience working with adolescents and families in Day Treatment, Residential, and OutPatient Mental Health Settings. His specialties include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, PTSD, Anxiety Disorders, Personality Disorders, and individuals with a history of self injurious behavior. He has a private practice in St. Paul.

Requests must be made in writing. Refunds will be given on requests received 10 days prior to the training event. A 20% administrative fee per person will be deducted from all cancellations. No refunds will be given if received less than 10 days prior to the event, but registrants can transfer their registration to another person.
